Grab your favorite markers! We’re getting ready for the new school year with some super fun Back to School doodle art signs. We could be a little biased, but we think these are the perfect way to add a creative flair to this year’s Back to School photo shoot.
The cool thing about these signs is that they’re more than photoshoot signs. They can still be used for the Back to School photos you share with family and friends, but they can also be used as an activity to document the start of the new school year. You could even use them for binder covers, workstation decor, or quick art therapy when things get busy.
Regardless of how you use them, we think you’ll love this fun and super easy doodle art activity.
Back to School Doodle Art Signs
Ready to make your Back to School doodle art signs? Here are the supplies you’ll need to have on hand.
Back to School Doodle Art Supplies List
- Markers
- Back to School Printables
- Sharpie pen (optional)
Once you have the markers and printout ready, you can get started.
Step 1 – Color the segments.
Begin by coloring in each segment with your favorite markers. We LOVE Mr. Sketch markers*, but whatever you have on hand will work. You can also leave all or some of the segments blank for now if you plan to primarily add color through your patterns. (*This is a referral link.)
Step 2 – Add patterns.
After adding color to the segments, use your Sharpie pen or black marker to fill each segment with your doodles. You can do this by creating simple patterns or coming up with your own spin altogether.
