In this course we’ll explore:

Watercolors and Gouache

We’ll experiment with the following techniques:

Color Mixing • Flat Wash • Gradated Wash  Variegated Wash • Wet-on-Dry • Wet-on-Wet  Brushwork • Lifting Out • Masking • Texturing • Wax Resist • Line & Wash • Backruns • And more!

Plus we’ll create several projects from start
to finish with these techniques!

*** Please note:This course is recommended for students ages 13 and up. A moderate level of drawing ability is requiredOnly you know the abilities of your own children, so if you have younger ones who want to participate, you can make that call. These lessons are more advanced than our other art courses in that they encourage the student to draw upon his or her own inner resources (no templates are provided). The purpose of this course is to help your teen gain basic artistic skills, get a feel for and develop mastery of each medium.***
