This section is especially for your early elementary-age children who want something more than coloring, but need a little guidance when drawing.
These directed drawing lessons are simple and super-short. I have purposely drawn in a rough and “unpolished” manner so that kids won’t feel that their drawings have to be perfect. If they get frustrated, please encourage them not to start over, but to keep going and to use their drawing as “practice.”
All that’s required for these lessons are:
- paper (I use copy paper)
- pencil (I use a marker so it shows up on camera)
- coloring mediums of your child’s choice (I use washable markers, pastels, and tempera paint sticks – Kwik Stix)
